Showing up late to class is an age-old bad habit that many college students fall victim of during their educational career. For whatever reason tardiness may be, there are unpleasant ramifications that come along with the manor. Allow me to elaborate.

Walking up early around 7 and 8am is a daunting task for anyone, especially for a college student. But when you are so harshly woken up to by the sound of a ear bleeding siren like alarm at the crack of dawn, the last thing anyone has on mind is sitting is sitting in lecture all day. Lets weigh the options.

You can sit in bed and run through you class agenda of what may be important. Or you can simply forget about it and go back to your lovely slumber. However, does the cost of missing class out weigh the benefits? If not, then jump out of bed and start that fun filled day of school. In all seriousness, consequences come with any action, especially actions of irresponsible lateness.

As you rush to make it to class before the big hand is ten pass the hour, you fear what your professor will say as you stumble in. Your professor is notorious for pausing class and publicly humiliating you for your lack of respect. As you tune out the nonsense ramble, you remind yourself that you have one year left of this so called “higher learning”.

However, things could be worse, you could have to write three two-hundred word papers. The upside, the papers are your choice of topic. The lesson to be learned is not to take twenty units during a quarter.
